Advertising & content policy
A clear distinction between content and advertising
Linkshortner provides link-management tools and original editorial guides. Advertising is optional. When configured, display ads appear only in an explicitly labeled Advertisements placement on eligible, operator-reviewed articles. Ads are not part of the destination-opening requirement.
Where Google ads are excluded
Google advertising is not placed on the shortener homepage, any of the four redirect steps, account registration or sign-in, private dashboards, administration, checkout, receipts, messages, search results, legal pages, or error screens. A browser session beginning a short-link journey has editorial advertising suppressed for 30 minutes.
We do not show Google ads for a preset waiting period, require a visitor to interact with an ad, disguise an advertisement as a navigation button, or reload an ad automatically. The optional visit-reward program and Google advertising cannot be enabled together in this application.
Editorial content and review
Articles should be original, useful, and accurate about the subject they describe. The editor must review an article before marking it eligible for advertising. Drafts, unreviewed articles, short articles below the application's conservative eligibility threshold, and publisher-reward articles do not carry Google ads. Word count by itself is not a guarantee of content quality or policy acceptance.
Our editorial approach and the licenses for bundled tools are linked from the footer. We do not claim that Google, Stripe, a font author, or an open-source contributor endorses this website.
Consent and privacy
The default website does not request Google ads. When editorial advertising is enabled, a published Google Privacy & messaging consent implementation must be configured. The application's small preference banner is not used as a substitute for a certified advertising consent manager.
The ad loader waits for a usable consent-framework signal. Where GDPR applies, it requires affirmative Google vendor and relevant purpose consent before requesting an ad. Global Privacy Control suppresses ad requests. Outside GDPR regions, the configured Google consent manager and applicable opt-out messages provide the provider's regulatory signals. If the consent manager is unavailable, the editorial content remains usable without an ad request.
Use Ad privacy choices on an ad-eligible article to revisit the consent message. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain additional details. Google's own practices are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Traffic quality
Do not generate automated ad impressions, click your own ads, ask others to click ads, buy click-exchange traffic, or offer compensation for ad interactions. Do not send unsolicited messages promoting short links or use a misleading description to attract visits. The operator may investigate unusual activity, restrict links, and respond to abuse reports.
Approval and external policies
Google decides whether to approve a publisher account or website, which ads to serve, and whether its policies are satisfied. A website design, a policy page, a minimum article length, or an ad setting cannot guarantee approval, earnings, or continued participation. Search engines likewise do not guarantee indexing or rankings.
The operator is responsible for its real business information, rights to published material, provider account settings, consent configuration, traffic sources, and ongoing content review. Applicable provider policies and law continue to apply after a website is launched.
