Terms of service

1. Our agreement

These terms govern your use of Linkshortner, operated by Linkshortner ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using our link services, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy. Contact us at support@linkshortner.org with questions.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or receive payments. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act on its behalf.

2. Your account

Provide accurate registration and payment details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share accounts, impersonate another person, or create accounts to bypass restrictions.

3. The link service

We provide short URLs, a four-step destination flow, QR codes, and first-party link analytics. You retain ownership of your destinations and content. You give us permission to store, display, and process your submitted URLs as necessary to provide the service.

You are responsible for having the rights to share your destination. A shortened link is not our endorsement of the destination. We may pause, remove, or investigate links that violate our policies, legal obligations, or the security of the service. Guest links expire after seven days; account links may have a chosen expiration date.

4. Plans and payments

The Free plan has usage limits. Paid plan prices, limits, currency, and access periods are shown before checkout. Membership payments purchase a fixed 30-day or 365-day access period and do not renew automatically. Card checkout is handled by Stripe when enabled; we do not collect or store card numbers.

Manual transfers are not confirmed until an administrator checks the submitted payment proof. Submitting an image or receipt does not itself establish that payment was received. Your plan changes after payment is confirmed. Taxes, where applicable, are displayed or described before payment. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund requests.

5. Publisher earnings and withdrawals

Where enabled, qualified completed visits accrue estimated earnings at the current published rate. Visits must finish all four steps. Duplicate visits to the same link within 24 hours, the link owner's own visits, detected automated traffic, and incomplete visits do not qualify. Rates apply when a visit qualifies and may change prospectively.

Estimated earnings are subject to review for invalid traffic and policy violations; they are not guaranteed income, a deposit, or an interest-bearing account. Do not buy automated traffic, click your own links for earnings, incentivize fraudulent visits, or manipulate visit identifiers. We may investigate and reverse invalid credits with an explanation in your account ledger.

Withdrawals are subject to the displayed minimum, available balance, accurate payment details, and administrator review. Requesting a withdrawal reserves that amount from your available balance. A rejected request returns the reserved amount. A "paid" status means an administrator has recorded the transfer and attached private payment evidence. Payment-provider delays, fees, currency conversion, and taxes may apply. You are responsible for your tax reporting obligations.

6. Suspension and ending use

You can stop using the service at any time and contact support to close your account. We may restrict access for abuse, non-payment, legal requirements, or a material breach of these terms. When reasonable, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to appeal. Financial records may be retained where necessary to handle disputes and meet legal obligations.

7. Availability and liability

We use reasonable care to operate the service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, specific traffic, earnings, or the safety of external destinations. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights, fraud, or other non-excludable liability.

8. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the site or account email before they take effect where required. The updated date appears on this page. Contact support first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Applicable law and mandatory local consumer protections remain in effect. Our operating jurisdiction is the operator’s place of establishment, subject to mandatory local consumer law.
